My India

Our nation India celebrated her 65th year of independence on 15th August 2012. Being born as a daughter of our nation, I too feel proud about my nation and its culture and heritages. When I went to my school, everybody greeted me " Happy Independence Day", all were in the mood of great celebration, many children were wearing colourful costumes. I could see joy and smiles on the faces of everyone.

Yes, it is not just a festival, but it is our national festival. Once again I could feel that "WE ARE ONE", children of one mother. The caste, colour, creed, language and regions adorned the beauty of this mother with all its diversities.

Well, after the flag hoisting and the national anthem, after all the programs that were conducted, the greetings which I heard in the morning from my principal and others were still ringing in my ears, "Happy Independence Day". I think this can be heard in the ears of every Indian. yes it is about the freedom which we enjoy today. Freedom with great responsibility and accountability.
